How to Remove Pages from a PDF Online for Free (Blank, Unwanted or Sensitive Pages)

A report with a blank page after every chapter, a contract that still contains the internal notes, a scan with an empty back side: most PDFs need a few pages taken out before they are ready to send. You do not need desktop software to remove pages from a PDF. This guide shows how to delete blank, unwanted or sensitive pages online with ToolTiny, either by clicking page thumbnails or by typing page numbers, with a real 8-page example that ends as a clean 5-page file.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I remove pages from a PDF online for free?
Open the Remove Pages PDF tool, select your PDF, mark the pages you want to delete (click their thumbnails or type numbers such as 3,5,7), click Remove Selected Pages and then Download Updated PDF. It is free and needs no sign-up.
How do I write the pages to remove?
Use commas for individual pages and hyphens for ranges, for example 3,5,7 or 5-8. The tool also accepts a mix, as the hint under the box says.
Can I choose pages without typing numbers?
Yes. After you add a file, every page is shown as a thumbnail, and you can click the pages you want to mark for deletion. The Select all and Deselect all buttons mark or clear every page at once.
Is the original PDF changed?
No. You download a new file named like your original with _removed_pages added, for example sample-remove-pages_removed_pages.pdf. The original stays unchanged in your folder.
Do the page numbers inside my document change?
The PDF itself is renumbered (our 8-page test became 5 pages), but numbers printed on the pages, such as a footer reading Page 6 of 8, are part of the page content and stay as they were.
Does removing a page delete sensitive information completely?
The tool removes whole pages. It does not edit or black out text inside pages you keep, so check the rest of the document before sharing it, and use Remove Metadata to clear hidden author details.
Are my files private?
Files are processed on the ToolTiny server and deleted automatically within about 10 minutes. Still, do not upload documents you are not allowed to share, and follow your company policy for confidential files.
