How it works

Our Text Compare tool uses the jsdiff algorithm to identify differences between two text inputs. When you click "Find Differences", the tool breaks down your inputs into words or lines, compares them sequentially, and highlights changes:

Additions (Green): Content that exists in the "Changed" text but not the "Original".
Deletions (Red): Content that exists in the "Original" but was removed in the "Changed" version.
Equality: Content that remains unchanged, displayed in standard format.

Is my text data stored on your server?

No. All text comparison is performed entirely locally inside your web browser using JavaScript. No data is ever sent to or stored on our servers, ensuring absolute privacy for sensitive contracts, source codes, or system logs.

What is the difference between Word-by-Word and Line-by-Line?

Word-by-Word is ideal for regular documents, essays, or contracts, as it highlights specific changed words within a sentence. Line-by-Line is better for programmers and sysadmins checking code, configuration files (like nginx.conf or firewall rules), or log data, as it highlights the entire line that was modified.

Can I upload files instead of copy-pasting?
