What audio and video formats are supported?
Supported formats: MP3, MP4, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG, WebM, MPEG and MPGA. Maximum file size is 25MB. For larger files, split the audio into chunks first.
How many languages are supported?
Over 99 languages are supported including English, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Arabic, Hindi and many more. Use "Auto detect" when unsure — the engine will identify the language automatically.
How accurate is the transcription?
Accuracy is very high for clear speech in common languages, typically 95%+. Accuracy may be lower for heavy accents, background noise, multiple simultaneous speakers or low-quality recordings. Specifying the language explicitly improves results.
Is my audio file stored?
No. Your file is sent directly to the transcription API over a secure HTTPS connection and is not stored on ToolTiny servers. The file is discarded immediately after processing.
What if I get an error or the transcription fails?
If one processing slot is busy, the tool automatically retries with a backup slot. Common issues: file larger than 25MB (split it first), unsupported codec, or very noisy audio. Try converting to MP3 at 128kbps for best compatibility.
